As the company’s founder, Mr. Westrum is responsible for the vision, strategic planning, and overall execution of the company’s various activities. A respected developer, John has served in numerous industry positions, most notably: Urban Land Institute Executive Committee, Chairperson of the Urban Land Institute Parks Committee, Co-Chairperson of NTI (Neighborhood Transformation Initative) Large-Scale & Market-Rate Advisory Council, Past President/ Life Director of Bucks/Montgomery County (PA) Home Builders Association, Builder Hall of Fame.
John Mershon, CPA, MBA
President & Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Mershon serves as President and Chief Financial Officer of Westrum Development Company. He is a Partner who serves on the Advisory Board, and has been associated with the company since 1995. Prior to joining Westrum, Mr. Mershon was the Chief Accounting Officer and Director of Finance and Accounting for Realen Homes. At Realen he was a shareholder and served on the Board of Directors. Mr. Mershon is a Certified Public Accountant, a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accounts, and the National Association of Valuation Analysts. With over 20 years in the home building business, covering all aspects and disciplines, Mr. Mershon will continue to lead Westrum Development Company as one of the most progressive and forward thinking companies in the industry.

Vice President of Land Acquisition
Mr. Dean manages and directs the acquisition and entitlement of new properties in accordance with the company’s long-term plan of urban, town and borough revitalization. John has extensive experience in many areas of real estate acquisition, disposition, and development, including residential, commercial, investment, resort, and corporate.
Stephen Mansfield,
Vice President of Land Development
Mr. Mansfield oversees Westrum’s land development operations. Mr. Mansfield has 18 years of experience in designing and installing infrastructure bringing creative and cost effective solutions to challenging site conditions. He also manages Westrum’s lot purchase agreements which construct building pads for sale to National and Regional builders. Mr. Mansfield is a respected leader in this aspect of the building industry and has earned a solid reputation among builders and governing authorities. |
