OUR EXPERIENCE

Since its founding in 1986, WDCO has constructed over 5,000 homes and apartments, improved 10,000+ lots, rezoned over 7,400 units, and contributed to the development of more than 100 communities.

From 2011-2018, Westrum transitioned the company from 100% homebuilding to 100% Multifamily development focusing on three targeted brands: Luxury Suburban Multifamily (LUXOR), Luxury Urban Multifamily, and Senior Living Rental Communities. In 2017, Westrum launched the Westrum Property Management division to stay true to the vision and desired execution of these Multifamily brands.

In addition to building our brands in Class “A” locations, Westrum Development Company offers a full spectrum of Residential Development Services that include:

  • Construction Management Services
  • Property Management Service (premarketing through Lease Up)

    John Westrum conceived Westrum Development Company in Bucknell Dorm

  • 1987

    John Westrum open Westrum Development Company for Business

  • 1987 - 2000

    Westrum grown to $100 M in annual sales

  • 2001

    Shifted focus to Urban Redevelopment by selling 3,000+ suburban lots to national home builder

  • 2002-2007

    Became the largest “for sale” market rate landholder/developer in Philadelphia

  • 2006

    Completed Proof-of-Concept Westrum Senior Living Community (Harleysville, PA)

  • 2007-2013

    Survived Great Recession/shifted focus from FOR SALE residential to MULTIFAMILY

  • 2015-2017

    Completed Proof-of-Concept Urban Lifestyle Apartments in Philadelphia

  • 2016

    Completed Proof-of-Concept Luxury Suburban Apartment community (LUXOR)

  • 2017

    Opened Westrum Property Management Division to Operate Urban/Suburban Multifamily Assets

    Completed “Next Generation” of Senior Living Community in West Chester, PA
